In the wake of Typhoon Crising, the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas mobilized its relief efforts by distributing sacks of rice to affected communities. This initiative is part of the Liga’s continuing mission to provide immediate assistance to barangays severely hit by calamities.

Over the course of the last three typhoons—Crising, Dante, and Emong—the Liga has delivered more than 1,800 sacks of rice, benefitting a total of 110,026 families. The aid reached barangays across Valenzuela, Pateros, Parañaque, Dagupan City, La Union, Cagayan, Bataan, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, Calapan City, and Baguio City.

Beyond numbers, these relief operations highlight the importance of solidarity and bayanihan at the grassroots level. In times of disaster, barangays remain at the frontline of service, and the Liga stands firm in its commitment to support their recovery and resilience.

The Liga expresses its gratitude to all partners and individuals who extended help and shared hope with the affected families. Together, with unity and compassion, our communities can rise stronger from every storm.
