Liga President Jessica Dy Attends President Marcos’ 4th SONA, Affirms Support for Bagong Pilipinas Goals

Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas National President Jessica Dy represented the organization at the 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., held on July 28, 2025.

In his address, President Marcos outlined the administration’s major priorities moving forward. Among these are the continuation of the Build Better More infrastructure program, strengthening of the agriculture sector, expanding access to quality education and healthcare, advancing digital innovation, and ensuring sustained support for the Filipino people.

The Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas expressed its full support for these priorities, reaffirming its commitment to align with the government’s vision of building a more progressive, resilient, and united nation. As the most grassroots level of governance, barangays play a crucial role in making national programs felt at the community level.

“With every initiative launched by the administration, barangays stand ready to translate policies into meaningful action for our constituents. The Liga remains steadfast in its mission to be a partner of government in driving inclusive growth and empowering communities,” President Dy said.
