Stronger Together: Liga Holds Successful 2025 National Congress for Cluster 2

With the theme “Barangay Para sa Kalikasan, Matatag na Kinabukasan”, the 2025 National Congress of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas once again brought together delegates from Antique, Iloilo Province, Tacloban City, Bohol, Cebu, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Zamboanga del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Butuan City, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Basilan, Cotabato City, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, and Tawi-Tawi, along with speakers, sponsors, and partner agencies in a united call for action.
This year’s gathering emphasized the vital role of barangays not only in governance but also in spreading awareness and taking concrete steps to protect the environment. The Congress highlighted that every barangay has a responsibility to safeguard natural resources, promote sustainable practices, and lead by example in addressing environmental challenges.
From waste management to tree planting initiatives, barangay leaders are at the forefront of ensuring a greener, safer, and more resilient future for their communities.
